STR’s Analytics and C2 Division researches and develops novel technologies to solve challenging national security problems through advanced analytics. Our team consists of passionate and motivated engineers and scientists with advanced degrees in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, and data science. We use our expertise and creativity to take innovative ideas from conception to mature implementation to improve mission success of our customers.

The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer at STR, you will help develop disruptive technologies focused on estimation theory, prediction, and system resource management. You will design and implement flexible software solutions and collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams. You will provide high-impact, unique solutions for our customers’ most important problems.

We are looking for someone to join our team onsite as this position is based primarily in the Woburn, MA office.

Who You Are

• Active Top Secret Clearance Required with SCI eligibility, for which U.S citizenship is needed by the U.S government
• BS + 5 years, MS + 3 years, PhD or equivalent experience in computer science or related field
• Proficient in writing maintainable, well documented code and APIs
• Able to work and collaborate on multi-disciplinary teams
• Experience using Linux
• Expertise using C++, Python, and Java
• Experience with container-based software (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
• Even better: Have experience in intelligence or military-related mission areas
• Experience with micro-service architecture and DevOps pipelines

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $139,000 - $165,000

The salary range listed is based on external market data. Offers are based on factors, such as but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, key skills/critical skills, security clearances, and prevailing market and business conditions.
