Software Engineer Senior - Clearance Required

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in software engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 4+ years of professional experience.
• Must currently hold an ACTIVE DoD Final Secret Security Clearance to be considered for this position.
• Demonstrated experience software development of Java-based applications in a UNIX/Linux platform environment.
• Demonstrated experience developing software in a structured, process-based integrated team environment.
• Demonstrated experience utilizing configuration management tools in the development of software (e.g. Git/Gitlab/etc.).
• Demonstrated experience utilizing standard system engineering design artifacts such as System requirements, Use Cases, and SysML diagrams to create software products.
• Security+ or equivalent certification may be required within 60 days of starting.

Work Responsibilities

• Design and develop new Java applications;
• Maintain existing Java applications;
• Support software testing and resolution of issues from multiple baselines;
• Perform in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution;
• Works from system specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications;
• Aid with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation of programs;
• Interface with other system support groups;
• Generate software design artifacts and support design and code reviews.

Desired Skills

• Missile Defense Domain experience;
• Design and development of real-time Java applications;
• Developing new capabilities into a legacy software system;
• Development of complex mathematical algorithms from design documents;
• SW analysis against performance requirements;
• Resolving cyber/security issues identified by Fortify/SonarQube/etc.;
• Maven or Gradle;
• Automated unit testing frameworks.
