Software Engineer Senior (Security Clearance Needed)

Duties

• Design and develop a processing platform using various configuration management technologies.
• Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing systems and platforms.
• Troubleshoots complex problems and provides customer support for software systems and application issues.
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Work alongside other engineers on the team to sustain and advance our organization’s capabilities.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with modern programming languages including Python or JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience working with JIRA, Redmine, or other development environment task managers/trackers.
• Experience building and implementing systems that support both custom and off-the-shelf hardware features.
• Hands-on experience and is familiar with one or more of the following software/tools:
• Experience with building APIs and services using REST, Hadoop, Map Reduce, Spark, etc.
• Experience with build automation technologies like Maven, Jenkins, etc.
• Experience with Linux (preferred) or Windows operating systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
• 5 to 10 years of related software engineering experience.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with the design and development of modern, web-based user interfaces and applications development and a related understanding of key technologies such as APIs that interface with hardware devices.
• Understanding or exposure to FPGA programming.
• Knowledge of wireless technology, digital/analog communications, or RF.
• Experience with Test Automation and Continuous Integration.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

The position offers a flexible schedule with occasional travel to CONUS sites for two (2) to four (4) days per trip, typically every three months.
