Senior Scientist Proteomics and Metabolomics BAF Core

Qualifications

• Prior experience in qualitative and quantitative proteomics and metabolomics technology and nano-liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry (LC-MS; on Orbitrap Fusion, Orbitrap Astral, and/or Orbitrap ID-X).
• Familiarity with the entire metabolomics and/or proteomics pipeline (including sample preparation, LC and MS operation, and data analysis).
• Ability to manage multiple projects between multiple laboratories.
• Demonstrated scientific productivity and excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to learn new technologies, flexibility, and time management skills.

Desirable Requirements

• Ph.D. in Mass Spectrometry or a closely related field with 5+ years’ direct experience in mass spectrometry or a M.S. in a closely related field and 10+ years’ experience in proteomics or metabolomics.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines and engage investigators in project design, execution, and data analysis.
• Experience in publication and grant writing.
• Experience with Proteome/Compound Discoverer, Scaffold, MS Dial, MetaboAnalyst, etc.
• Advanced knowledge of Thermo mass spectrometers – operation and maintenance.
