About the role
Embassy Suites Denver is seeking an experienced & dynamic Complex Senior Sales Manager to represent 2 hotels. The position requires a proven track record of driving revenue and handling complex accounts or markets.
Responsibilities
- Proactively solicits and handles complex accounts or markets with greater revenue potential in a particular market segment.
- Maximizes revenue by upselling each business opportunity and managing customer budgets.
- Accurately forecasts group sleeping rooms and revenue for groups prior to and after turnover.
- Closes the best opportunities based on market conditions and hotel needs.
- Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers through sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, and other interactions.
- Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction and creates long-term mutually beneficial relationships.
- Manages guest satisfaction and implements corrective action plans.
- Generates strategies and leads the organization to achieve results.
- Manages work execution and drives for results.
- Identifies and develops talent within the organization.
- Shares learning and best practices with others.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3+ years of progressive sales experience, including knowledge of full-service hotel operations and group rooms/catering experience.
- Aggressive negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business with a high conversion ratio.
- The ability to “knock on doors” to get the business.
- Knowledge of event technology products and services.
- Financial management skills, such as understanding P&L statements, managing operating budgets, forecasting, and scheduling.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, customer and associate relations, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to use standard software applications and hotel systems.
- Effective decision-making and influence skills.
