Senior Sales Manager
Sell Groups
The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for selling guest rooms, meeting space and other Hyatt services to customer groups, managing accounts, and conducting hotel tours.
Solicits and generates business, prepares and presents effective and detailed proposals and or presentations, maintains well organized documentation and reports, utilizes Hyatt systems and coordinates customer service requirements as appropriate.
Manage Accounts
Participates and may lead sales and event meetings and other staff meetings. Organizes and participates in client entertainment/FAM’s, special promotions, tours, tradeshows/conferences.
Aids in creating and implementing special promotions relating to direct sales segments.
Maximize Sales
Maximizes sales occupancy and rates in conjunction with hotel operations to increase profits by increasing group room sales.
Prospects new business using a wide variety of sales methods, including but not limited to phone calls, outside sales calls, attending tradeshows and conferences, and active participation within the industry to strengthen and expand customer base and brand awareness.

Build Relationships
Establishes and builds successful relationships that generate sales opportunities.
Effectively communicates client requirements, ensuring all information is accurate between client and hotel.
Problem Solve
Maintains or exceeds sales goals as assigned by DOSM.
Problem solves and develops solutions to meet client’s important requirements/needs.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years prior hotel group sales experience is required
- Upscale or luxury hotel experience is preferred
- Exceptional prospecting and negotiation skills
- Strong revenue management skills to create financially sound group sales proposals
- Competitive spirit with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a strong desire to exceed revenue goals/expectations
- Excellent customer service skills; demonstrates a positive attitude and is hospitable
- Creative, genuine, transparent, service driven and passionate about exceeding Guest Expectations
- Seeks out and participates in available training opportunities and applies learning and newly identified best practices where possible
- Responds to all issues (internal and external) in a positive manner and takes action to resolve
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- A strategic and dynamic thinker
- Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
- Knowledge of Envision Sales and other Hyatt systems is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or business management is preferred
- Must have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, the ability to multitask and strong attention to detail
- Ability to travel for tradeshows, conferences, and development
Pay
Salary Range: $70,000-$106,000
