Key Responsibilities
- Partner with sales representatives to understand client requirements and provide tailored technical solutions.
- Deliver product demonstrations, proof of concepts (POCs), and technical presentations.
- Translate customer business requirements into technical solutions that align with our offerings.
- Lead RFP/RFI responses, solution architecture documentation, and technical proposals.
- Maintain deep understanding of SymmetricDS product and industry trends to serve as a subject matter expert.
- Aid with onboarding and mentoring junior sales engineers as needed.
- Serve as a technical liaison between customers and internal teams (product, engineering, support).
- Support post-sales handoff to implementation teams and ensure customer success alignment.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Required: 5–8+ years of experience in a sales engineering, solutions consulting, or pre-sales role.
- Required: Strong technical background in databases, data warehouse, data replication and integration.
- Required: Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and support enterprise customers.
- Preferred: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred: With the Java programming language.
- Preferred: Ability to setup and maintain docker images.
- Preferred: Experience with Canva to build and organize technical documents for the pre-sales process.
