We are currently seeking a highly skilled Russian Linguist/interpreters to join our mission-driven team.

Responsibilities

You will provide professional-level linguistic support across translation, interpretation, transcription, and Gisting including but not limited to:

• Translation: Accurately translate materials from Russian into English and vice versa, capturing subtle nuances, cultural references, and abstract concepts with contextual accuracy.
• Interpretation: Provide consecutive interpretation; simultaneous interpretation may occasionally be required, maintaining high fidelity and fluency, demonstrating understanding of regional dialects and cultural context.
• Transcription: Listen to audio or review internet-based content and transcribe accurately and efficiently, producing high-quality English-language reports based on audio/visual materials, demonstrating nuanced understanding of dialectical variations.
• Gisting and Summarization: Identify and summarize key facts and abstract concepts accurately, prioritizing and extracting critical information from large datasets, using reference materials effectively to support quality output.

Requirements

Candidates must have:

• An active TS/SCI security clearance with a polygraph, or be eligible for a security clearance upgrade.
• A Bachelor’s degree with 8 – 12 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with 6-10 years of related experience.
• 4+ years of professional and recent interpretation experience, with strong interpretation experience and experience in the Intelligence Community and Operations.
• A score of 90% on English test and successfully complete a Leidos-administered language proficiency test or equivalent at the Senior level (ILR 4 and SLR 4+/4+/4+).

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

• Translation and/or interpretation degree.
• HLT experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic online research.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and target languages.
• Willingness to TDY 10-25%.
• Experience supporting contingency operations as an interpreter.
• Familiarity with the U.S. Intelligence Community, military operations, or law enforcement environments.
• Ability to effectively brief and communicate findings to various stakeholders.
• Proficiency in multiple languages.

Pay

The Leidos pay range for this job level is $92,300.00 - $166,850.00, although additional factors may be considered in extending an offer.

Schedule

Candidates must be willing to TDY 10-25%.
