About the role
We are seeking a Russian Linguist to join our team in Reston, VA. You will support a government agency with translation and transcription tasks, producing precise English translations from foreign-language text and audio.
Responsibilities
- Translate and transcribe foreign-language text and audio into English.
- Type in Russian in real-time via social media, text messages, email, and other communication platforms.
- Interpret between source and target languages.
- Transcribe and translate content into English and the source language.
- Collect, monitor, and identify relevant content from published, online, and broadcast media.
- Summarize or gist content while applying linguistic or cultural expertise.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in Cyber, Counterproliferation, or Sponsor Operations areas of focus.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent desired.
- Familiarity with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Telegram, Reddit, LinkedIn, and Snapchat. Experience moderating social media pages or activity is a plus.
- Subject Matter Expertise in Cyber, Counterproliferation, or Sponsor Operations areas of focus.
- Must pass customer testing.
- ILR Level 4 in Russian preferred.
- Preference given to candidates with higher clearances, though all candidates with any level of clearance—or those eligible for clearance—may be considered.

Pay
The hourly pay rate for this position ranges from $65.58 to $105.65.
