About the Role
The Senior Research Associate will lead qualitative and quantitative research on women litigating lawyers, institutional challenges, and legal profession reforms. They will ensure compliance with ethical research practices, conduct legal and policy analysis, literature reviews, and data collection. Additionally, they will organize stakeholder consultations and identify reform measures, design research resources, outreach materials, and dissemination strategies, strengthen forums and networks for women lawyers, supervise research associates and interns, publish at least one peer-reviewed journal article annually or two shorter publications such as policy briefs, blog articles, case briefs, or commentaries, and contribute to proposal development, fundraising, and strategic research planning.

Requirements
- Essential: Graduate degree in Law, minimum 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience in legal research, policy engagement, and/or action-based research projects.
- Desirable: Master’s degree in Law, Social Sciences, or allied disciplines, thorough understanding of the structure and functioning of the legal profession in India, demonstrated research experience, including at least one publication or equivalent scholarly output, excellent academic, policy, and public-facing writing and editing skills, strong analytical, communication, technical, and time-management skills, ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
