Duties
Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Medication administration
- Taking patient vitals
- Addressing detox symptoms
- Daily documentation
- Electronic charting
- Patient education
- Implementing treatment plans
- Evaluating effectiveness of medications
- Covering for charge nurse
Requirements
Must possess a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in New Mexico, or eligibility for such licensure in accordance with New Mexico requirements, or eligibility for a temporary license issued for employment at a specific institution in New Mexico and three (3) years of experience as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification.
Qualifications
- Experience working with patients with chemical dependency and co-occurring disorders
- Experience developing and monitoring patient care plans
- Experience with electronic charting
- Experience working with multidisciplinary team

Schedule
Night Shifts; Wed (4 hours) and Thu, Fri, Sat (12 hours)
Employment Requirements
- Designated as a safety sensitive position
- Subject to pre-employment and random testing for alcohol and/or drugs
- Subject to nationwide criminal background check and conditional employment pending results
- Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License
- Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or pass Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment
- Successful completion of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) training
Working Conditions
- Work in a rehabilitation hospital setting
- Long periods of walking, sitting, standing, bending and lifting up to fifty (50) pounds may be required
- May be exposed to potentially violent patients in a volatile situation
- Work in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage
- May be required to work weekends, holidays and overtime
