Registered Nurse (RN)

Responsibilities

• Serve as a leader in the provision of nursing care, coordinating the care of residents on the unit.
• Supervise the care/services provided by Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and other staff.
• Accurately transcribe and coordinate the implementation of physician orders.
• Perform nursing assessments regarding the health status of residents.
• Notify the physician of changes in status and promptly implement and document new orders.
• Select and implement appropriate nursing interventions that may be required to stabilize a resident’s condition and/or prevent complications.
• Contribute to the resident’s assessment and the development of a care plan.

Requirements

• An unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in North Carolina or a compact license that allows you to practice in North Carolina.

Qualifications

• A strong background in nursing care and health education.
• Patience, compassion, and a desire to care for residents in a gentle and empathetic manner.
