Registered Nurse (RN) - DOU
About the role
The Registered Nurse at West Anaheim Medical Center is responsible for delivering safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This position involves providing direct patient care within the scope of practice, directing and guiding patient/family teaching, and overseeing the activities of other nursing personnel.
Responsibilities
- Delivers safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
- Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the DOU.
- Communicates with the physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition, including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies, and abnormal results and symptomatology.
- Able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
- Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
Requirements
- Current valid State Registered Nurse License.
- Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Minimum of one-year experience as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Qualifications
- Education: Current valid State Registered Nurse License.
- Experience: Minimum of one-year experience as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
- Training: Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
- Other: Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current; Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current; Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Pay
The current compensation range for this role is $51.57 to $69.32 per hour. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
