Senior Recruiter
About the role
The Senior Recruiter is responsible for recruitment efforts that bring high-quality, diverse talent to Patterson Companies. To accomplish this, you will work closely with business leaders, Human Resource Business Partners and Talent Sourcing Specialists to understand & influence hiring needs so you can effectively design & execute recruitment strategies that ultimately land top talent. As a member of the Talent Acquisition team, you will also play a role in the development and enhancement of best-in-class talent acquisition processes and strategies that lead to the branding of Patterson Companies as an employer of choice.
Essential Functions
- Acts as the primary point of contact for all recruiting initiatives within assigned area (geographic and/or functional) with an emphasis on exempt roles, including some senior leadership positions
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with Patterson business leaders
- Consults with and influences business leaders, HR, and Sourcing Specialists to determine specific hiring needs and develop a recruitment plan (including job description, talent attraction strategy, screening/qualifying procedures, selection process, value proposition, etc.)
- Partners with Sourcing Specialists to develop a talent attraction strategy
- Develops and maintains talent pipelines and candidate engagement strategies for high profile candidates to ensure continued interest in Patterson
- Influences leaders to proactively pipeline talent and provides support to connect candidates to hiring managers
- Promotes diversity and inclusion, and an equitable work environment for all employees
- Advocates and drives for best-in-class candidate experience
- Manages candidates in an online applicant tracking system (ATS)
- Maintains current knowledge of business, marketplace, legal and recruitment trends and requirements
- Ensures recruitment processes are compliant with federal and state legislation and regulations
- Participates in, and leads talent acquisition process improvement and project work
- Represents the talent acquisition team in cross-functional teams and projects
- Functions as a talent acquisition subject matter expert
- Performs additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- At least 4 years of experience in recruiting or staffing required
- Demonstrated capability in recruiting for a wide variety of roles, levels, and geographic locations
- Working knowledge of talent acquisition related processes, procedures, laws, systems, tools, and technology
- Ability to quickly and accurately assess/evaluate talent
- Ability to partner with and influence all levels of management in the organization
- Strong work ethic and motivation to achieve results and meet goals and deadlines
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Workday strongly preferred
- Experience recruiting technical and corporate positions is strongly preferred
- Experience supporting diversity recruiting initiatives strongly preferred
- Process improvement experience preferred
Working Conditions
Physical Demands: Operating a computer or other office devices for the majority of the workday. May occasionally need to move packages up to 10 pounds such as office supplies or equipment. Must be able to communicate with others in person, over the phone, and in writing. Must be able to understand and effectively exchange accurate information with others such as coworkers, customers and vendors. Must be able to read and interpret various electronic and written documents.
Environmental Factors: This position is in an office environment in which team members occupy desks in assigned areas or at meeting/collaboration spaces within the building. The building's primary work areas consist of desks, chairs, computers and other office equipment and devices for professional services.
Travel: This position requires minimal travel (10%) in a national area. For this position being on-call is not required.
