About the role
We're looking for a Senior Purchaser to lead procurement and inventory management for our manufacturing facility. In this role, you'll ensure a reliable supply of raw materials, packaging, and MRO materials while identifying opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and support uninterrupted operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage purchasing and inventory for raw materials, packaging, and MRO supplies.
- Oversee approximately $1M-$10M in annual spend and local service contracts.
- Ensure continuous material availability to support production.
- Negotiate with suppliers and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Partner with Supply Chain and Operations on sourcing and improvement initiatives.
- Qualify new suppliers and develop alternative sourcing strategies.
- Drive inventory optimization and reduce obsolete materials.
- Track and report supplier performance and savings results.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5+ years of purchasing or sourcing experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing supplier relationships, inventory, and negotiations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- CPIM, CPM, or similar certification preferred.

Pay
Base salary pay range: $81,600.00 - $112,200.00 annual. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.
Schedule
- Travel: Moderate (approximately 11-29 days per year).
- Location: Manufacturing facility environment with office and plant interaction.
