Senior Purchaser

Responsibilities:

• Manage suppliers in North America and collaborate with global colleagues to procure competitive solutions.
• Work with cross-functional stakeholders to develop and implement procurement strategies.
• Procure crane services for turbine repair, maintenance, and special projects.
• Represent global initiatives at the Regional Procurement Officer (RPO) level.
• Manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, including specification development, quote process, supplier selection, contract development, stakeholder management, and business awards.
• Provide weekly reports on contract status, including future projects, to align stakeholders with customer expectations.
• Interpret technical specifications and develop business cases with total cost of ownership financial analysis.
• Directly manage new and existing regional supplier relationships and build global supplier partnerships.
• Manage and implement all aspects of the supplier development, contracting, and buy-to-pay processes, including risk management.
• Resolve scope-related supplier issues and lead negotiations with suppliers.
• Lead and mentor a cross-functional team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in global supply chain management, engineering, or related business studies.
• 5+ years’ work experience in procurement or supply chain management.
• Significant experience gathering market intelligence and building business cases.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, V-lookup).
• Advanced contract management experience.
• Advanced negotiation experience.
• Industry experience in renewables, energy, manufacturing, or similar environments.
• Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Solid familiarity with commercial contracts and contract negotiation.
• Strong project management skills.
• Strategic purchasing experience, not just operational procurement.
