SENIOR PSYCHIATRIC TECHNICIAN (SAFETY)

Job Description and Duties

Assists with the overall day-to-day operation of the Centralized Staffing Office including the scheduling of staff. Assists with hiring and maintains accurate records. Provides supportive assistance to Nursing Services to ensure training needs are met.

• Evaluates staff on an ongoing and as-needed basis.
• Maintains awareness of and adheres to all facility policies and procedures.
• Creates or assists in developing resources and documents based on the scope of services provided.
• Carries out scheduling responsibilities and ensures optimal operational conditions are met.

Relief Schedule and Shift

Relief Schedule and Shift to be determined for CSO.

Working Conditions

• On-going interaction with clients, personnel and the general public.
• Potential exposure to communicable diseases, blood-borne pathogens and other conditions common to a clinical nursing environment.
• Must possess and maintain sufficient strength, agility, endurance and sensory ability to perform the duties contained in this duty statement.
• Prolonged sitting and extensive use of modern office equipment including telephones, computers, shredders, printers, scanners, and fax machine.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance; participate in client containment, intervention or restraint; work extended hours and various shifts; float to all work areas within the facility.

• Drug Screening prior to being hired.

• Copy of valid Psychiatric Technician License prior to being hired.
