Job Description and Duties

On an assigned shift, directs and/or provides for the care, treatment, and training of clients following established standards and procedures. Guide and organize assigned staff on a shift in providing active treatment services to ensure implementation of Individual Program Plans. Communicate and collaborate with staff to carry out the facility’s mission, goals, and objectives. Direct all routine nursing activities of assigned staff and provide for total nursing care during the assigned shift. Maintain a safe, sanitary, therapeutic and professional environment that promotes respect and dignity and protects privacy, rights, confidentially and physical/emotional well being of all clients. Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement processes. Facilitate and monitor compliance with Federal, State, and facility standards of clients’ treatment and care. Facilitate the scheduling, orientation, coaching, training, counseling, and performance evaluation of assigned personnel. Participate in staff development training programs and attend training as required.
