Senior Project Manager, Practice Builder - Transportation/Traffic
Overview
Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Senior Project Manager, Practice Builder to expand their Transportation Planning/ Traffic practice in Vero Beach, FL.
Responsibilities
- Creates a vision for growth in their personal practice while contributing to the growth of the transportation engineering practice in the local area and beyond.
- Aids in marketing and business development efforts with existing local municipal, state, and private clients, while delivering a wide range of transportation planning, traffic engineering, roadway, and/or ITS-related projects.
- Beyond serving existing clients, pursues personal passions, leads, and attracts new clients.
- Leads and grows a Transportation/Traffic practice, including operating with integrity and sound business principles, providing vision and strategy, establishing goals, building and maintaining positive client relationships, and having open communication with partners and team members.
- Grows and leads a Transportation/Traffic practice, managing projects profitably, transitioning work to qualified staff, mentoring staff, and acting as a positive leader and mentor.
- Given a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their business, with the potential for advancement to ownership.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of transportation planning, traffic engineering and design, traffic operations, and/or ITS planning and design experience.
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
- Track record of successfully winning and delivering work in the local area.
- Established relationships with local DOT, local agencies, and/or local municipalities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage transportation projects profitably through agency specifications.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills.
- Strong desire and ability to be engaged with clients solving project problems.
- Effective communication at all levels of the organization.
- Manages and mentors staff and directs resources effectively in a positive manner.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably.
