Overview

Kimley-Horn is seeking a Transportation Practice Builder to join their office in Riverside, California (CA).

Responsibilities

  • Creates a vision for growth in their personal practice while contributing to the growth of the transportation engineering practice.
  • Aids in marketing and business development efforts with existing local municipal, state, and private clients.
  • Delivers a variety of transportation planning, traffic engineering, and/or ITS-related projects with the team.
  • Serves existing clients and pursues personal project opportunities and clients.
  • Manages projects profitably, transitions work to qualified staff, grows and mentors staff, and acts as a positive leader and mentor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering
  • At least 15 years of experience in transportation planning, traffic engineering, traffic operations, and/or ITS planning and design
  • Registered license (PE and/or TE)
  • Track record of successfully winning and delivering work in Riverside and surrounding communities
  • Established relationships with local DOT, local agencies, and/or local municipalities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage transportation projects profitably through agency specifications
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills
  • Strong desire and ability to engage with clients solving project problems
  • Able to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
  • Able to manage and mentor staff and direct resources effectively

Pay

Base Salary Range: $145,000 - $250,000
Eligible for performance-based bonus compensation
