Overview
Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Practice Builder to expand their Transportation Planning practice in San Jose, California (CA).
Responsibilities
- Create a vision for growth in their personal practice while contributing to the growth of the transportation engineering practice
- Aid in marketing and business development efforts with existing local municipal, state, and private clients
- Deliver a wide variety of transportation planning, roadway, and/or ITS-related projects with the growing team of transportation professionals
- Beyond serving existing clients, pursue personal passions, lead, and attract new clients
- Lead, direct, and grow their business with significant autonomy
- Enjoy a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their business
- Manage projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, and grow and mentor staff
- Act as a positive leader and mentor
Qualifications
- 15+ years of transportation planning experience
- Track record of successfully winning and delivering work in the local area
- Established relationships with local DOT, local agencies, and/or local municipalities
- Demonstrated ability to manage transportation projects profitably through agency specifications
- Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills
- Strong desire and ability to be engaged with clients solving project problems
- Able to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
- Manage and mentor staff and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably
Pay
Base Salary Range: $165,000 to $220,000
Eligible for performance-based bonus compensation
