About the role
The Senior Project Manager for Facilities & Operations leads day-to-day coordination of research lab renovations, space modifications, and equipment installations while supporting ongoing facilities operations.
Responsibilities
- Serves as a key liaison between the Office of the Vice President for Research and Partnerships, Facilities Management, contractors, and academic units.
- Tracks dependencies, escalates issues, and maintains clear communication across all project stakeholders.
- Develops and maintains project documentation, schedules, tracking tools, and standard operating procedures.
- Improves transparency, reduces bottlenecks, and strengthens the institution's capacity for long-term research infrastructure management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline relevant to the area of specialty.
- 6 years of related experience.
Qualifications
- Equivalency/Substitution: Experience or a combination of education & related experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Experience with facility management and equipment installations.
