Senior Program Coordinator – Child Care Scholarships

About the role

The Houston-Galveston Area Council is one of the largest regional planning commissions in the country with a diverse service area of 13 counties and more than 7 million people. Responsibilities

• Aid in the application tracking and onboarding of new childcare providers
• Aid in the updating processes related to childcare scholarships
• Ensure services comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations
• Review and complete various childcare reports
• Answer calls and emails from childcare providers

Key Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to coordinate and communicate with other team members and external partners
• Ability to perform and complex tasks within required deadlines

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an applicable academic discipline or related field of study
• 5 years of experience with local government, nonprofit programs, schools, or in job-related duties

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with local government funding and contract management
