Senior Product Marketing Manager, Handshake AI

Handshake · San Francisco, CA · Today
On-siteMarketing$152k–$190k/yrFull-time

About the role

You'll be the end-to-end product marketing owner for Handshake AI's frontier lab business — the connective tissue between research, product, sales, and the market. You'll translate deep technical work into positioning that lands with researchers and lab leadership, then arm sales with everything they need to close and grow those relationships. This is a build-from-scratch seat: you'll set the GTM playbook for a business growing faster than almost anything in AI.

  • Positioning & Strategy: Build end-to-end positioning, messaging, and competitive strategy for Handshake AI's frontier lab business, keeping it unified with Handshake's broader career-network story rather than siloed as a separate business.
  • Research Translation: Partner with the HAI research team to turn technical research outputs into market-ready content, building Handshake AI's credibility with researchers and the broader AI community.
  • Sales Ownership: Serve as the primary PMM point of contact and decision-maker for how Handshake AI shows up in lab-facing conversations — value props, proof points, pricing/packaging narratives, and objection handling.
  • Sales Enablement Materials: Build and maintain the playbooks, talk tracks, competitive one-pagers, and pitch assets the field runs on, iterating based on direct feedback from Sales.
  • GTM Strategy: Partner with HAI Product and Sales leadership to shape long-term product and GTM strategy — synthesizing customer, competitive, and market insight into clear executive recommendations — and codify the frameworks, launch templates, and messaging systems the broader team reuses.
  • Event & Field Marketing: Partner with event marketing to translate HAI positioning into compelling in-person and virtual experiences, owning messaging for executive dinners, field events, and conference activations.

  • Strong project management skills, with experience coordinating complex, multi-stakeholder launches
  • Experience building sales enablement materials, including competitive positioning and technical demo content
  • A track record of 0-to-1 program building — comfortable building from scratch, wearing multiple hats, and scaling based on data
