About the role

The RF/Microwave Amplifier MMIC Design Group is seeking an Amplifier MMIC Design Engineer for developing world-class RF/Microwave/Millimeter-wave GaAs and GaN LNA/Driver Amplifier/Power Amplifier MMICs. This role offers the opportunity to work with and learn from top industry-leading RF and microwave professionals, supporting the development of designs used in Communications, Test & Measurement Instrumentation, Industrial, and Aerospace and Defense.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop RF/Microwave/Millimeter-wave GaAs and GaN LNA/Driver Amplifier/Power Amplifier MMICs.
  • Perform electro-magnetic simulation, thermal analysis, and layout using industry-standard EDA tools.
  • Conduct RF/microwave circuit and system design.
  • Utilize RF/microwave test equipment and measurement techniques (e.g., spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, power meters).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to innovate and solve complex problems.

Requirements

  • MSEE/PhD degree in Electrical Engineering with a background in RF/microwave engineering.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in MMIC design (Ph.D. in relevant areas may count toward industry experience).
  • Experience with GaAs and/or GaN semiconductor technologies.
  • Proficiency with EDA tools: Cadence, ADS, AWR, Ansys HFSS, Sonnet, Momentum, RFPro.
  • Knowledge of GaAs and/or GaN device physics and modeling.
  • Experience with microwave/millimeter-wave circuit/system design.
  • Must be a US citizen or green card holder.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of PA linearization and efficiency enhancement.

Remote opportunities may be possible for the right candidate. For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices may need to obtain export licensing approval from U.S. authorities. Applicants (except US Citizens, US Permanent Residents, and protected individuals) may undergo an export licensing review process.

Pay

The expected wage range for this position is $157,080 to $227,460. Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other factors. This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus based on personal and company performance.
