About the role
The RF/Microwave Amplifier MMIC Design Group at Analog Devices is seeking an Amplifier MMIC Design Engineer to develop world-class RF/Microwave/Millimeter-wave GaAs and GaN LNA/Driver Amplifier/Power Amplifier MMICs. This role offers the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the top industry leading RF and microwave professionals.
Responsibilities
- Design and layout of GaAs and/or GaN semiconductor technologies
- Electro-magnetic simulation and thermal analysis
- Use industry standard EDA tools like ADS and Momentum/RFPro/Sonnet
- Work with GaAs and/or GaN device physics and modeling
- Linearize and enhance PA efficiency
- Design microwave/millimeter-wave circuits and systems
- Operate and utilize RF/microwave test equipment and measurement techniques
Requirements
- Experience with GaAs and/or GaN semiconductor technologies, MMIC design and layout, electro-magnetic simulation, thermal analysis and industry standard EDA tools like ADS and Momentum/RFPro/Sonnet
- MSEE/PhD degree in EE with background in RF/microwave engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of experience. Ph.D. in relevant areas could be counted towards industry experience depending on the thesis
- Must be a US citizen or green card holder
- Proficiency with EDA tools: Cadence, ADS, AWR, Ansys HFSS, Sonnet, Momentum, RFPro etc.
- Knowledge of PA linearization and efficiency enhancement is a plus
- Experience with microwave/millimeter-wave circuit/system design
- Proficiency with RF/microwave test equipment and measurement techniques, e.g. spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, power meters, etc.
- Excellent teamwork and communications skills

Pay
The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $124,721 to $180,602. Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
Schedule
This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
