About the role

The RF/Microwave Amplifier MMIC Design Group at Analog Devices is seeking an Amplifier MMIC Design Engineer to develop world-class RF/Microwave/Millimeter-wave GaAs and GaN LNA/Driver Amplifier/Power Amplifier MMICs. This role offers the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the top industry leading RF and microwave professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Design and layout of GaAs and/or GaN semiconductor technologies
  • Electro-magnetic simulation and thermal analysis
  • Use industry standard EDA tools like ADS and Momentum/RFPro/Sonnet
  • Work with GaAs and/or GaN device physics and modeling
  • Linearize and enhance PA efficiency
  • Design microwave/millimeter-wave circuits and systems
  • Operate and utilize RF/microwave test equipment and measurement techniques

Requirements

  • Experience with GaAs and/or GaN semiconductor technologies, MMIC design and layout, electro-magnetic simulation, thermal analysis and industry standard EDA tools like ADS and Momentum/RFPro/Sonnet
  • MSEE/PhD degree in EE with background in RF/microwave engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of experience. Ph.D. in relevant areas could be counted towards industry experience depending on the thesis
  • Must be a US citizen or green card holder
  • Proficiency with EDA tools: Cadence, ADS, AWR, Ansys HFSS, Sonnet, Momentum, RFPro etc.
  • Knowledge of PA linearization and efficiency enhancement is a plus
  • Experience with microwave/millimeter-wave circuit/system design
  • Proficiency with RF/microwave test equipment and measurement techniques, e.g. spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, power meters, etc.
  • Excellent teamwork and communications skills

Pay

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $124,721 to $180,602. Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.

Schedule

This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
