Senior Pricing Manager
About the role
The Senior Pricing Manager leads the development, analysis, and submission of cost and pricing proposals in support of Federal, State, and Local Government solicitations. This role ensures pricing compliance with FAR, DFARS, agency supplements, internal policies, and customer requirements. The Pricing Manager partners closely with capture, proposal, contracts, HR, and technical teams to develop competitive, defensible, and fully compliant cost volumes.
Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end pricing development for RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, IDIQs, BPA, and Task Orders.
Interpret solicitation requirements to determine pricing structure, assumptions, deliverables, and risks.
Develop cost models—including labor rates, indirect rates, ODCs, travel, escalation, fee, and price strategy inputs.
Lead internal pricing reviews, ensuring alignment between technical, management, and cost volumes.
Cook subcontracts pricing inputs and validate compliance across the proposal team.
Develop Basis of Estimate (BOE) documentation.
Perform market research, competitive analysis, and Price-to-Win (PTW) collaboration to inform strategic pricing decisions.
Analyze historical pricing, contract vehicles, and win/loss pricing trends.
Ensure adherence to FAR, DFARS, CAS (if applicable), and internal estimating system policies.
Maintain pricing audit documentation and support DCAA/DCMA reviews.
Apply corporate standards and support continuous improvement of pricing processes.
Collaborate with finance to validate indirect rate structures, budgets, and forecasting impacts.
Analyze cost drivers, profitability, and pricing risks.
Maintain pricing tools, templates, and standardized cost elements.
Serve as the primary liaison between proposal teams, subcontractors, and leadership on all pricing matters.
Prepare executive-level pricing summaries and recommendation materials.
Contribute to pricing training for proposal and project teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field.
10+ years of pricing experience in a government contracting environment.
Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and government procurement processes including CPFF, CPAF, T&M and FFP contract types.
Experience with GSA schedule procurements as well as other GWAC vehicles like OASIS, OASIS+, PRISM, etc.
Proficiency in advanced Excel modeling; experience with Costpoint, Unanet, ProPricer, or similar tools.
Demonstrated experience developing compliant, accurate, and competitive cost proposals.
Ability to meet tight deadlines with high attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Price-to-Win methodologies.
Experience leading pricing on large-scale federal proposals (>$50M+).
Familiarity with DCAA audits and compliant estimating systems.
Experience developing BOEs and guiding technical teams in narrative development.

Pay
The expected salary range for this position is between $93,000 and $180,000. This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law.
Schedule
This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable).
