Century Group is partnering with a client seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to join their team.
About the role
Process payroll activities from start to finish while ensuring accurate and timely employee payments. Support human resources and finance functions through payroll documentation, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Review timekeeping records, compensation changes, deductions, and payroll adjustments to maintain data integrity.
- Prepare payroll reports and analyses that support management decision-making and operational oversight.
- Monitor payroll records to identify discrepancies, compliance concerns, and opportunities for corrective action.
- Manage confidential employee information while maintaining accuracy and meeting recurring deadlines.
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience with ownership of the full payroll cycle.
- Experience working with payroll systems and timekeeping platforms in a professional environment.
- Knowledge of payroll regulations, wage requirements, and payroll administration practices.
- Experience within the restaurant, hospitality, or service industry preferred.
Qualifications
- Exceptional attention to detail when reviewing payroll data, calculations, and employee records.
- Strong organizational skills for maintaining documentation, procedures, and audit-related records.
- Effective communication with managers, employees, and business partners regarding payroll matters.
- Proactively identify issues and provide timely recommendations to support compliance and operational accuracy.
- Experience with payroll reporting, benefits administration, accounting support, bilingual communication, or advanced spreadsheet analysis is beneficial.
Pay
Expected starting base salary of $68,000 to $78,000 per year, varying based on skills, experience, and location.
