Senior Operations Officer - People (Fixed term)

Salary: £29,740 to £36,446 per annum pro-rata depending on skills and experience

About the role

As Senior Operations Officer (People), you will be part of an integrated team responsible for the coordination, implementation, and continuous improvement of operational processes and activities. With a focus on Core Operations, you will work flexibly to ensure excellent support for operations, governance, and activity within the People function of the Business School’s Operations and Research Team. This includes providing administrative and operational support for HR-related processes such as recruitment, appraisals, staff development, and other People and Culture activities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and provide administrative support for local HR-related processes.
  • Develop, deliver, and coordinate support and activity across a range of areas to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of relevant plans, policies, and processes.
  • Provide high-level administrative support to relevant members of the School’s senior leadership team.
  • Contribute to the planning, management, and delivery of projects and initiatives to support School plans and priorities.

Schedule

  • Fixed-term position for 6 months.
  • Full-time role (36.25 hours per week) available from September 2026.
  • Part-time applications considered (minimum 29 hours per week).
