Senior Operations Officer

Location: McLean, VA (Tysons Corner). Full-time, on-site role with 25% domestic travel (2-3 times per month).

About the role

SAIC is seeking a Senior Operations Officer to serve as the front-facing entity for a high-impact customer program focused on emerging space-related technologies, engineering, scientific, and analytical challenges. You will develop and maintain critical relationships to advance mission objectives, working collaboratively with U.S. Government civilians and contractors to solve applied technical problems and deliver usable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain high-level relationships with executives, ultra-high-net-worth individuals, and key stakeholders aligned with program goals.
• Lead and coordinate operational activities across multiple customer entities, intelligence community (IC) elements, and domestic field environments.
• Apply expertise in intelligence-gathering technologies, operational laws/regulations, and HUMINT operations to drive mission success.
• Collaborate in a team-focused environment to address technical challenges in space-related capabilities and threats.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph (required for consideration).
• Minimum of 20 years of relevant operational experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (degree may be substituted).
• Strong operational background with expertise in:
  • Intelligence-gathering tools and technologies.
  • Laws and regulations governing operational activities.
  • HUMINT operations.
• Proven experience operating or leading in domestic field environments.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with senior executives or ultra-high-net-worth individuals.
• Willingness to travel domestically 2-3 times per month.

Desired Qualifications

• Familiarity with or interest in emerging technologies.
• Business acumen, including an MBA or relevant experience.

Pay

Target salary range: $200,001 – $240,000, based on experience and other factors.
