Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage a large and/or complex market or regional operations team, ensuring the market achieves operating metrics and consistently meets or exceeds defined KPIs.
- Manage warehouse operations, ensuring operational excellence and compliance in collaboration with Facilities and Environment Health & Safety teams.
- Act as the operational expert within the region, championing operational excellence, owning end-to-end operational improvements, advising cross-functional teams, and engaging in strategic discussions with key external stakeholders, including city officials.
- Conduct regular analysis on the region, identifying trends and implementing recommendations for growth and optimization.
- Define and implement an operations strategy for the region that advances the deployment and operation of vehicles, including workforce planning, P&L management, request for proposal (RFP) preparation, and competitor monitoring.
- Attract and develop top-tier operational talent for the region, including planning, hiring, onboarding, and training new team members within a warehouse environment.
- Spearhead safety initiatives for riders and vehicles to ensure safety remains the top priority.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and safe workplace where individuals are motivated to contribute.
Required Qualifications
- Fluent verbal and written English language skills.
- 5+ years of work experience in operations, consulting, engineering, or similar fields.
- 3+ years of people management experience attracting, developing, and motivating warehouse staff.
- Tenacious and willing to roll up sleeves, with the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
- Analytically minded with a strong understanding of real-time marketplaces (supply and demand economics) and the ability to navigate, decode, and use data to build compelling narratives and reports.
- Problem solver skilled at identifying and resolving complex issues, exercising good judgment in drawing conclusions, navigating ambiguous environments, and working cross-functionally.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to present to senior-level stakeholders using data that effectively communicates short and long-term strategic operations solutions.
- Relentlessly curious, always seeking to dig deeper and understand underlying reasons, particularly to understand customer needs.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on process improvement, self-motivated and energetic, with the drive and ability to learn new skills and grow with the role.
