How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Supports day-to-day deposit, Real Time Payments, and EFT activity, including ACH and wires.
  • Supports process improvement, operations projects, and the design and maintenance of policies and procedures.
  • Manages daily processing for deposits, RTP, ACH, and wires, including manual and batch postings, research, exception handling within set parameters, and support for general ledger reconciliation, with strict attention to deadlines and controls.
  • Coordinates and schedules daily work for EFT, ACH, and wire processing and acts as a point of contact for the department when the Operations Manager is unavailable.
  • Supports plans for electronic funds processes and member servicing.
  • Works on projects tied to system updates, service enhancements, and process changes, and keeps their work current in project and ticketing tools that follow Agile-inspired practices.
  • Leads or supports process reviews and testing and helps translate findings into production changes.
  • Identifies high-volume, rules-based work that can be automated, including through RPA and AI-assisted workflows, and works with stakeholders to define requirements, test solutions, and measure impact.
  • Works with vendors, management, and regulators on internal services, funds transfer policies, compliance, security, and contingency planning.
  • Writes and maintains procedure documents for their areas, updates them when programs or workflows change, and recommends policy updates. Uses AI-assisted decision tools where appropriate for exception handling, risk assessment, and fraud detection.
  • Supports other business units with member requests and workflows, cross-trains on critical processes, and helps maintain service levels.
  • Interacts with vendors and third parties on behalf of members and the Credit Union, stays current on regulatory and technology changes, and performs other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Promotes and maintains a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner consistent with professional standards to get along with members, co-workers, management, and vendors.
  • Keeps abreast of industry developments including, but not limited to, changes in regulations, technology, etc.
  • Performs additional duties as required.

What You’ll Be Doing

What You Bring to the Team

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel (lookups, pivot tables, data cleansing) and comfort working with data exports and dashboards; experience with basic data querying (e.g., SQL or BI tools) preferred.
  • Experienced working with payment systems, or RPA/automation tools (e.g., workflow engines, bots, scripting, or rules engines).
  • Demonstrates ability to learn new systems quickly and to translate business requirements into system or configuration requirements for vendors/IT.
  • College degree preferred.
  • This role works under moderate supervision, follows established procedures, and uses independent judgment in handling complex work.
  • Comfortable working across multiple banking systems and tools, and open to adopting new technology and AI-assisted capabilities as they are introduced.
  • At least four years of transactional processing experience in a bank or credit union, with at least two years in a similar Operations role; project experience preferred, supervisory experience a plus.
  • Experience with deposit and payment systems, including ACH, wires, and RTP, and related digital banking platforms.
  • Experience working with or supporting AI-assisted decision tools and automation in operations or a clear ability to identify automation candidates and support business cases for AI-assisted implementations.
  • Strong knowledge of rules and regulations governing transactional processing in financial institutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, decision-making, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
  • High integrity, trustworthiness, and accountability.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel, and comfort working in a remote, tech-enabled environment.
  • Work is remote and requires a suitable internet connection, a current smartphone, extended computer use, and frequent communication via email, chat, video, and phone.

Compensation & Rewards

  • Compensation for this role is $68,800 - $78,800 per year with the potential for discretionary incentive compensation based on both company and individual performance.
