Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Rehab in the efficient clinical management of rehabilitation services in assigned account(s) and integration across all settings
• Assess needs, develop, and deliver therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation
• Identify needs and make referrals to other disciplines to address comprehensive patient needs
• Implement individualized therapy programs designed to restore, reinforce, and enhance patient independence and productivity
• Instruct, educate, and train patients and caregivers in skills essential for promoting independence and health
• Support the delivery of the highest standard and quality of rehabilitation services
• Assist therapy staff in effective and efficient delivery of rehab services, adherence to care plans, and timely documentation
• Clinically manage Powerback Rehabilitation personnel and consultants within facility or home care contracts
• Continue direct patient care
• Promote clinical programs and staff development in collaboration with licensed therapists and leadership
• Assist the Director of Rehab with customer service and practice act compliance
• Attend and contribute to facility meetings and patient care/staffing conferences
• Serve as a clinical resource ("go-to person") in the gym
• Assist in clinical development and growth of therapy staff across disciplines
• Identify areas of clinical opportunity in collaboration with leadership
• Promote teamwork, company culture, and diversity within the rehab gym
• Assist in developing, coordinating, and utilizing student and mentor programs
• Assist with efficient scheduling of the rehab gym
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants, Occupational Therapy Assistants, temporary licenses, students, and support personnel as applicable
• Consult and collaborate with healthcare team members to select appropriate therapeutic regimens
• Adapt programs/plans of care to meet individual patient needs
• Conduct and participate in training programs for medical, nursing, and other personnel
• Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards
• Initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
• Valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license in the state of practice
• Thorough knowledge of Medicare and third-party billing
• Minimum of four years of experience, preferably in long-term care (LTC)

Pay

USD $42.00 - USD $50.00 per hour, plus a USD $10,000 incentive bonus with zero payback.
