About the role

The Clinical Assessment Specialist is a licensed professional with a master's degree in the social services fields. They serve as a member of the emergency/acute care clinical team to provide psychiatric risk assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and implementation, and crisis intervention to patients and families in both the Medical and Psychiatric Emergency Departments.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a member of the emergency/acute care clinical team to provide psychiatric risk assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and implementation, and crisis intervention to patients and families in both the Medical and Psychiatric Emergency Departments.
  • Provide clinical assessments and interventions to patients and families in the Emergency Departments.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Conduct psychiatric risk assessments and provide crisis intervention services.
  • Document clinical encounters and treatment plans accurately and timely.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work or other related field.
  • Or, Ph.D in Psychology or other related field.
  • Alaska Masters Social Worker License.
  • Or, Alaska Clinical Social Worker License.
  • Or, Alaska Psychologist License.
  • Or, Alaska Marriage and Family Therapist License.
  • Or, Alaska Professional Counselor License.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
  • 3 years Clinical experience in the mental health field.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Social Work or other related field.
  • Or, Ph.D in Psychology or other related field.
  • Alaska Masters Social Worker License.
  • Or, Alaska Clinical Social Worker License.
  • Or, Alaska Psychologist License.
  • Or, Alaska Marriage and Family Therapist License.
  • Or, Alaska Professional Counselor License.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
  • 3 years Clinical experience in the mental health field.

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills.
  • Knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment options.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

$40.11 - $62.27 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Full time, 0.9 FTE, Variable shift, 36 hours per week.
