About the role

The Senior Psychiatric Consult Liaison Clinician serves as a member of the inpatient psychiatric consult liaison (CL) service, providing clinical expertise in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and crisis intervention. They coordinate care planning with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional psychiatric and substance abuse assessment, treatment, and discharge planning
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
• Conduct psychiatric assessments and make appropriate referrals
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to discuss patient progress and needs
• Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families
• Engage in ongoing education and training to stay current with psychiatric and substance abuse treatment modalities

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a health-related field
• 2 years of clinical experience in behavioral health
• Current license to practice in Alaska (Alaska Masters Social Worker License, Alaska Clinical Social Worker License, Alaska Psychologist License, Alaska Marriage and Family Therapist License, Alaska Professional Counselor License)

Pay

$41.81 - $64.91 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
