About the role
Provides direct client care services in all assigned areas that includes treatment planning, individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy. Assists leadership in the development and maintenance of standards of practice, development of quality services and new programs. The Senior Mental Health Counselor-Masters is a resource for other clinicians and demonstrates advanced clinical skill.
Responsibilities
- Plans and provides client, family, peer and community education and coordinates services with other health care professionals including interaction with physicians or ARNP responsible for the care of the client.
- Follows an individualized performance development plan to maintain current knowledge and be competent in specialty areas, support program goals.
- Promote program goals and objectives while modeling philosophy and values.
Requirements
- Master's Degree - Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work or health related field.
- Alaska Masters Social Worker License upon hire or, Alaska Clinical Social Worker License upon hire or, Alaska Psychologist License upon hire or, Alaska Marriage and Family Therapist License upon hire or, Alaska Professional Counselor License upon hire.
- 5 years - Clinical experience
