Senior Mechanical Designer - Remote/Hybrid (LSNA-IN/OH/PA/NC)
About the role
Join us as a Senior Mechanical Designer and support advanced facilities projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. You’ll independently perform mechanical design assignments with general technical guidance on complex projects, creating HVAC and Plumbing designs for construction. There will be opportunities to visit project sites to gather existing conditions and during construction. You will coordinate work activities with other design and engineering professionals and project management.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical design assignments for complex projects with general technical guidance.
- Create HVAC and Plumbing designs for construction using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Gather existing HVAC and Plumbing conditions on project sites.
- Participate in construction site visits.
- Coordinate work activities with other design, engineering professionals, and project management.
- Collaborate effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
Requirements
- Associate Degree or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree.
- At least 5 years of Revit design experience.
- At least 5 years of AutoCAD design experience.
- Industrial design experience including pharmaceutical manufacturing, semiconductor facilities, or similar.
Skills
- Knowledge of Revizto or NavisWorks (preferred).
- Knowledge of load calculation software (Trane Trace, Carrier HAP, etc.) (preferred).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Forward-thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas.
- Ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $80,600.00 to $140,000.00 and will be paid hourly based on hours worked.
Schedule
Hybrid working policy allowing employees to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations.
