Mid-Level Mechanical Designer (LSNA-US Remote)

About the role

We're seeking a Mid-Level Mechanical Designer (Remote within the US) who is excited about working on advanced facilities projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. Join us and you’ll have the chance to support projects for some of the world’s largest and most state-of-the-art industrial facilities. You’ll independently perform mechanical design assignments with general technical guidance on unusual or complex problems. Your mechanical experience will be put to use to create HVAC and Plumbing designs for construction. There will be opportunities to be on project sites to gather existing HVAC and Plumbing conditions and during construction. You will coordinate work activities with other design and engineering professionals and project management.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design assignments with general technical guidance on unusual or complex problems.
• Create HVAC and Plumbing designs for construction, including load calculations, equipment selections, and ductwork/plumbing system designs.
• Gather existing HVAC and Plumbing conditions on project sites and support construction activities.
• Coordinate work activities with other design and engineering professionals and project management.
• Collaborate effectively in multi-disciplinary teams, with clients, and construction teams.
• Apply mechanical and plumbing codes, clash detection, and building system coordination.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in a related technical discipline is highly preferred.
• At least 5 years of practical application experience in mechanical design, including HVAC load and plumbing calculations, equipment selections, and ductwork/plumbing system designs related to building systems.
• Proficient working knowledge of Revit software.
• General working knowledge of mechanical and plumbing codes.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Forward-thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas.

Preferred Qualifications

• Industrial design experience, including pharmaceutical manufacturing or similar.
• Passion for buildings and construction.
• Ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $71,000.00 to $120,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
