About the role

The Senior Marketing Coordinator - Proposals at Nelson Mullins supports and leads proposal development efforts to advance the Firm’s strategic growth initiatives. This role collaborates with attorneys, marketing professionals, and cross-functional stakeholders to develop compelling, client-focused responses to RFPs, RFIs, and other business development opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned proposal opportunities from intake through submission, coordinating timelines, gathering and refining content, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and persuasive materials.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and business professionals to develop proposal strategies, draft and edit content, support oral presentations and interviews, and maintain proposal and experience databases.
  • Track proposal activity and outcomes, identify opportunities for process improvement, support proposal technology initiatives, and contribute to the ongoing development of proposal resources and best practices.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members while serving as a trusted resource throughout the proposal development process.

Requirements

  • Strong writing, editing, and project management skills, with proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with proposal technologies, legal procurement platforms (such as PERSUIT, JusticeBid, or Priori), and content management systems preferred; demonstrated use of AI tools is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required and 6+ years of related marketing, proposal, business development, or communications experience.
  • Prior law firm and RFP/proposal experience strongly preferred, including experience managing projects from intake through submission.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys, business professionals, and cross-functional teams while managing multiple deadlines.
