Role Overview
At Carrier Johnson + Culture (CJ+C), our Senior Marketing Coordinator plays a pivotal role in shaping compelling narratives, strategic pursuits, and communications that elevate the firm's visibility and impact. This role requires a strong understanding of the architecture and interior design industry, coupled with exceptional organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and coordination of RFQs, RFPs, proposals, qualifications packages, and interview presentations across multiple market sectors.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Marketing, design leadership, and firm leadership to support strategic pursuits and business development initiatives.
- Develop compelling pursuit narratives tailored to specific clients, project opportunities, and strategic pursuits.
- Coordinate closely with principals, project teams, consultants, and business development leaders to gather and organize pursuit content.
- Manage pursuit schedules, deadlines, compliance requirements, and production workflows from kickoff through final submission.
- Support interview strategy, presentation development, and rehearsal coordination for shortlisted pursuits.
- Maintain and curate project sheets, resumes, imagery libraries, marketing collateral, and proposal assets.
- Contribute to award submissions, thought leadership initiatives, social media content, and external communications efforts.
- Collaborate with studio leadership to strengthen positioning across higher education, civic, workplace, hospitality, multifamily, mixed-use, and commercial sectors.
- Coordinate with photographers, graphic consultants, and external vendors to support brand and marketing initiatives.
- Aid in maintaining CRM systems, marketing databases, and pursuit tracking tools.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of marketing workflows, templates, standards, and production processes.
- Help maintain consistency, clarity, and quality across all outward-facing communications and materials.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field required.
- 5–8+ years of marketing experience within architecture, interior design, engineering, or related professional services industries.
- Strong experience leading proposals, interview presentations, and complex pursuit deliverables.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and presentation development tools required.
- Experience with CRM and proposal management platforms preferred.
- Strong graphic, written, verbal, and organizational communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced studio environment.
- Strong design sensibility and understanding of the architecture and interior design industry.
- Experience supporting higher education, civic, healthcare, workplace, or mixed-use pursuits preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain quality and consistency across multiple concurrent efforts.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across interdisciplinary teams and leadership groups.
