About the Role

The Senior Manager, Product leads a team responsible for product development and/or management. Utilizing market research and analyses, knowledge gained from voice of the customer initiatives, product financials, and operational metrics, you will partner with leaders to define product strategy, develop strategic and tactical roadmaps, and lead a cross-functional team to define business needs, financial designs, and technical constraints. This role ensures products align with operational needs, customer priorities, organizational goals, and long-term product strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the team responsible for developing and contributing to product strategy, development, and management.
  • Partners with leaders in Customer Experience & Engagement, Marketing Research, Finance, and Operations to understand the voice of the customer and promote a customer-centric culture, developing customer-driven solutions.
  • Works closely with Customer Experience & Engagement, Operations, and IT to inform product roadmaps.
  • Collaborates with Customer Experience & Engagement and other departments to develop go-to-market strategies for targeted customer segments and create end-to-end operational plans to profitably grow and scale products for existing and emerging markets.
  • Provides leadership on product development, including leading cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborates within the Product organization on strategy, roadmapping, and execution, including managing dependencies.
  • Develops and manages the product roadmap, prioritizing features and initiatives based on market analysis, user feedback, and business objectives.
  • Leads and mentors a team of product managers and business analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Works closely with IT, operations, finance, analytics, Legal/QRA, marketing, sales, and other teams to ensure seamless product development and launch.
  • Partners with the EAI team for market research, analyzes user feedback, and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Collaborates with marketing and sales teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies.
  • Tracks and analyzes product performance, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Demonstrates financial acumen at enterprise and product levels, guiding financial analysis and forecasting decisions.
  • Applies advanced change management skills to partner, influence, educate, and inspire both internally and externally.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge

  • Proven leadership in healthcare/biopharma products and services, with experience influencing internal teams (Finance, IT, sales, marketing, operations) and developing product strategies, roadmaps, and product management.
  • Product management methodologies, business case development, and pricing strategies.

  • Ability to work with broad cross-functional teams and sell ideas to internal constituencies, executives, customers, and partners.
  • Build transformational product strategies and roadmaps.
  • Effectively lead and grow product management and cross-functional product development teams, including large technology initiatives.
  • Leverage an entrepreneurial mindset and instill this in others.
  • Lead in an innovative and changing environment with a focus on testing, learning, and iterating to continually improve products and services.
  • Work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Maintain an external focus and become the go-to for market insights and opportunities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to rapidly connect with people and establish credibility among various external and internal constituencies.
  • Demonstrated record of success in identifying new issues, trends, and opportunities driven by data and customer insights.

Education and Experience

  • BA or BS in business, management, healthcare, or a related discipline (desired).
  • Minimum 5-7 years of directly related work experience within the healthcare industry.
  • 2-4 years of experience leading teams.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively and leading cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
  • Experience leading innovation or new product initiatives from idea through launch.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pharma, biotech industry experience, with knowledge of the cellular therapy market.
  • Salesforce, Supply Chain, or Personalization experience.
  • P&L ownership.
  • Platform development experience.
  • MBA.
  • Experience leading AI roadmaps.

  • Customer Focus: Deep understanding of user needs and the ability to translate them into product requirements.

Pay

$120,000 - $175,000/year
