Senior Manager, Digital Engagement
About the role
The Account Director leads and operationalizes teams that profitably deliver work within a portfolio of accounts. They must understand the agency's revenue and profitability model, ensure work stays within budget by project, own the revenue and forecast for the brand, and determine and negotiate budget needs.
Responsibilities
- Keeps management informed of account status, problems, plans, and meetings, including senior management as needed.
- Thoroughly understands industry business trends and ensures tactical and strategic integrity.
- Trains and develops the account team, encouraging and providing growth and development to junior account management team.
- Ensures appropriate resource allocation and utilization across all departments.
- Leads tactical planning and SOW development.
- Engages with senior level clients and continues an ongoing relationship development.
- Identifies and proactively responds to needs that arise as well as leads longer-term planning.
- Develops marketing tactical plans, including budgets and timelines.
- Supervises and effectively manages the production of tactics.
- Communicates project and brand updates to the team in a timely manner, including client shifts in project scope, direction, or timing that may impact agency resource requirements.
- Oversees client MLR submissions and ensures agency work remains in compliance with client guidelines.
- Works with the internal account management team to ensure the right team members/departments are pulled into the appropriate projects/workstreams at the right time.
- Provides clear and fair direction and feedback to the internal account management team.
- Maintains up-to-date project financials and tracks project actuals against client scope of work.
- Participates in any necessary financial meetings to ensure accurate internal data and to support client financial status communications.
- Takes on wider, formal and informal leadership responsibilities within the agency.
- Interviews, identifies, trains, and orient new team members to the agency, department, and account(s).
- Provides ongoing guidance to all team members and is available as a resource for account/agency/departmental policies, procedures, etc.
Requirements
Absolutely required:
- Proven experience leading and managing teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong understanding of agency revenue and profitability model.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to manage budgets and forecasts.
- Experience in developing and implementing marketing tactical plans.
- Ability to engage with senior level clients and build long-term relationships.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of industry business trends and the ability to interpret market research data into brand ideas.
Preferred:
- Experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical marketing.
- Experience in digital and/or traditional media.
- Experience in working with clients across various industries.

Pay
$120,000 - $130,000
Schedule
Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. The objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom’s corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
