Senior Manager, Digital Engagement
About the role
World Monuments Fund (WMF) seeks a strategic, collaborative digital marketing professional to lead and strengthen the organization’s digital engagement efforts across platforms. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing & Communications, this role leads WMF’s digital channels to expand brand visibility, grow audiences, deepen engagement, and support fundraising and organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead WMF’s digital engagement strategy across social media, email, and the website to strengthen brand visibility, grow audiences, and deepen engagement.
- Create, edit, and manage digital content across platforms, including social media, email communications, newsletters, website copy, and other digital channels.
- Manage WMF’s social media presence across major platforms, including content planning, publishing, community management, audience engagement, and management of the CEO’s social media presence in alignment with organizational voice and leadership priorities.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Communications, Development, Partnerships, Programs, Advocacy, and Leadership to identify stories, develop content, maintain a coordinated digital communications calendar, and support integrated campaigns across digital, media, and advocacy channels.
- Partner closely with the Development team to develop and optimize digital fundraising campaigns, shaping strategy, content, audience engagement, and performance to support donor acquisition and revenue goals.
- Oversee website content updates and continuously improve the user experience, performance, accessibility, and effectiveness of WMF’s digital properties.
- Manage external vendors and partners supporting WMF’s digital platforms and marketing efforts, including website development, Google Ads–related initiatives, Bloomberg Connects, and other digital tools and services.
- Lead and optimize SEO, paid social, Google Grants, and other digital marketing initiatives to improve discoverability, audience growth, engagement, website traffic, conversions, and overall digital performance.
- Use analytics and performance data to evaluate results, inform strategy, optimize campaigns, and prepare regular reports on digital marketing effectiveness.
- Maintain awareness of digital trends, platform developments, emerging technologies, and industry best practices to continuously strengthen WMF’s digital presence, audience engagement, and marketing impact.
- Support additional communications and marketing initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in digital marketing, communications, social media management, digital strategy, audience engagement, or online user experience.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to produce clear, compelling, error-free copy under deadline.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to compile, interpret, and report on digital performance data.
- Deep knowledge of social media platforms, emerging trends, and digital best practices.
- Experience using Google Analytics, Google Ads, and comparable reporting and optimization tools.
- Experience with social media management and listening platforms, website content management systems, and email marketing tools such as Mailchimp.
- Hightly organized and detail-oriented, with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative, proactive, and accountable, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across teams and organizational levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or similar content creation tools; video and audio editing experience is a plus.
- Willingness to work occasional evening events; familiarity with HTML and interest in the heritage and cultural sectors are a plus.
