About the Opportunity

The Senior Manager - Content and Brand leads the brand strategy, content programs, and reputation management efforts. This role shapes the organization's voice, story, visual identity, and public perception across all customer interactions. The position is responsible for maintaining brand standards, supporting demand generation and customer education, and managing reputation in a category where trust is critical. The role contributes directly to strengthening veteran trust and advocacy.

Responsibilities

  • Manage brand positioning, voice, tone, visual identity, and governance across all channels.
  • Lead agency partnerships for brand alignment, content management, and editorial planning.
  • Collaborate with marketing and internal teams to ensure brand consistency and effective content.
  • Develop and maintain brand standards including visual guidelines and content style.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor strategies.
  • Manage internal and external creative resources for quality and prioritization.
  • Lead reputation management initiatives including review programs, defense strategies, and advocacy.
  • Ensure all content is culturally appropriate and respectful of veteran experiences.
  • Provide performance reporting for senior leadership and strategic reviews.
  • Support crisis and sensitive communications, collaborating with legal and compliance teams.
  • Stay informed on relevant regulatory developments and competitive activities.
  • Mentor team members and contribute to the broader marketing organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 7 years in brand marketing, content marketing, or communications with ownership of brand and content programs.
  • Experience managing creative teams with measurable impact on brand health and demand generation.
  • Background in reputation management in regulated or trust-sensitive sectors.
  • Skilled in developing content programs across the customer lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical skills in content performance, web analytics, social listening, and brand tracking.
  • Proactive, strategic, and hands-on marketing operator.
  • Advanced writing and editing skills, particularly for technical and regulatory content.
  • Effective communication skills for presenting to senior leadership.
  • Experience in regulated, compliance-sensitive, healthcare-adjacent, or veteran-serving sectors preferred.
  • Understanding of and respect for the veteran community; veteran and military-affiliated candidates encouraged.

Pay Range and Compensation Package
