Senior Maintenance Technician
About the role
Van-Am Tool & Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Senior Maintenance Technician to join our growing manufacturing team. This is not an entry-level maintenance position. We are looking for a seasoned industrial maintenance professional with 7-10 years of experience maintaining complex manufacturing equipment in a high-volume production environment similar to Van-Am. As a growing manufacturer serving the aerospace, defense, and commercial industries, Van-Am relies on highly reliable equipment and experienced maintenance professionals who can troubleshoot difficult problems, minimize downtime, and improve equipment performance.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled equipment.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot CNC machines, stamping presses, robotic welding cells, fabrication equipment, conveyors, compressors, and other production machinery.
- Maintain facility systems including HVAC, compressed air, plumbing, lighting, and general building infrastructure.
- Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement long-term corrective actions.
- Support equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with Production, Engineering, and Quality to improve equipment reliability and manufacturing efficiency.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance needs while maintaining a strong focus on safety.
Requirements
- 7-10 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment comparable to Van-Am.
- Extensive experience troubleshooting complex industrial equipment with minimal supervision.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical power transmission, and industrial controls.
- Experience reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Working knowledge of PLC troubleshooting (programming experience is a plus).
- Experience with CNC equipment, stamping presses, robotic welding, fabrication equipment, or similar manufacturing machinery.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.

Pay
Starting pay of $35.00 per hour, based on experience and technical expertise.
Schedule
- Day Shift | 4-Day Workweek | 5:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
