Richman Property Services, Inc. (RPS) is seeking a full-time Senior Maintenance Technician to support our multi-family portfolio in Austin, TX. This role is eligible for our "Texas Stay Program," which financially rewards commitment and celebrates milestones during your first year with bonuses: $500 after 90 days, $1,000 after 6 months, and $1,500 on your first anniversary. Bonuses are paid with regular payroll and are taxable.

About the Role

As a Senior Maintenance Technician (Floater), you will support all RPS properties in Austin, TX. This position includes a weekend on-call rotation, with travel reimbursed at the federal mileage rate and overnight costs fully covered by RPS when applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily repairs and upkeep across multiple properties or portfolios
  • Prepare vacant units for occupancy quickly and to a high standard
  • Manage and resolve service requests with speed and professionalism
  • Maintain OSHA and Clean Air Act compliance at all times
  • Assist with preventative maintenance planning and execution
  • Keep buildings, grounds, and common areas clean and welcoming
  • Manage tools, equipment, and inventory with care
  • Complete required logs, reports, and training in a timely manner
  • Participate in the on-call weekend rotation

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of maintenance and general repair experience
  • Proficiency in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and general repair
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and federal/state regulations
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team
  • Must own basic tools as permitted by state law
  • Valid Driver’s License (verified during background check)
  • EPA Section 608 Type I and II, or Universal Technician Certification (strongly preferred; sponsorship available for qualified candidates within the first 75 days of hire)

Pay

Competitive base hourly pay with quarterly increases following the initial 90 days of service.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (40 hours/week), with a weekend on-call rotation.
