About the role

Responsible for assisting with operation troubleshooting, diagnostics, repairs on commercial buildings, and industrial systems for assigned properties/facilities. Build company and personal reputation of trust and high-quality service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Aids in basic troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems to include doors, floors, plumbing systems, kitchen appliances and miscellaneous equipment, drains, shop, grounds equipment, and HVAC
  • Replaces HVAC Air filters, clears out HVAC drain pans and waste lines, replaces HVAC pan waste line as needed, replaces HVAC condensate pumps
  • Works with Building Management Systems basic features, like temperature settings, turning lights on and off, and setting schedules
  • Aids in installation and modification of building equipment and systems
  • Repairs and replaces building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, and can paint walls, piping, floors and equipment
  • Troubleshoots, evaluates, and makes recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and/or implement savings opportunities
  • Has competent knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment used in facility and ground maintenance
  • Responds immediately to emergency situations and customer service requests as assigned
  • Inspects buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions, preventative maintenance, etc.
  • Performs fire and life safety systems such as Fire alarm systems, fire pumps and related fire protection system equipment as assigned
  • Performs carpentry and miscellaneous repairs when necessary
  • Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and Company directives as related to building operations and practice safe work habits
  • Uses technology such as smart phones, tablets, computers, web-based applications, building automation systems, etc.
  • Completes all required C&W Safety Training as scheduled annually
  • Complies with C&W Uniform Dress Code while working and maintains a neat and clean appearance while on the property at times other than working hours

Requirements

  • 4+ years of related experience in a commercial property setting
  • Technical, vocational or on-the-job training in at least one of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, painting, plumbing, carpentry
  • Basic Computing Skills in Outlook, Excel & Word

Schedule

Regularly required to travel outside between properties in varying weather conditions.
