About the role

The Senior Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing both general and advanced maintenance tasks and ensuring the reliability and efficiency of equipment and systems at the LNG production facility. This role involves troubleshooting complex issues, conducting preventive maintenance, and mentoring junior technicians to maintain high operational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, monitor, and troubleshoot all equipment to ensure they are operating efficiently, and conditions are normal.
  • Perform advanced maintenance tasks on LNG production equipment, including compressors, pumps, amine system, and control systems.
  • Maintain all Plant equipment and structures per manufacturers and Clean Energy guidelines.
  • Review daily maintenance reports, production reports and other relevant records to ensure the plant equipment meets the specified operating characteristics.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA safety regulations and standards, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Work closely with operations and engineering teams to coordinate maintenance activities and support production goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and preventative maintenance activities in our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) in compliance with both Clean Energy and Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to enhance maintenance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage maintenance inventory, ensuring the availability of necessary tools and parts.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Perform and complete other tasks as assigned by the LNG Plant Manager or Maintenance Manager.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, 7+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of LNG production processes and equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Relevant certification in maintenance or industrial safety are a plus.
