Position Description
The Senior Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for the operation of the Scroll Machining Maintenance Department. You will be responsible for providing the highest levels of safety, equipment availability, performance, and reliability in an automated machining department.
- Accountable for safety, quality, cost, and equipment uptime.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental standards, such as PPE, LOTO, Confined Space Entry, Hazard Communication, Hot Work, Arc Flash, and Manlift Standards.
- Provide clear job expectations and assign work across a three-shift operation.
- Help maintenance specialists to diagnose/trouble shoot down equipment.
- Help to fix quick fix items.
- Assure equipment reliability with the PM program execution for reduced downtime.
- Identify and source maintenance parts, supplies, and repair items as needed.
- Make sure maintenance specialists adhere to appropriate conduct standards and practices.
- Support maintenance team to identify and meet KPI’s.
- Build a collaborative and purposeful team by resolving conflicts as they arise, removing roadblocks, inspiring people to action, and help the team to instill positive changes in the department.
- Continuously engage and participate in 5S and Kaizen events and help identify improvement opportunities.
- Knowledge of Oracle and maintenance management systems.
- Communicate with support departments to maintain adequate working environment.
- Support new capital equipment projects as needed.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Associates or technical degree in a related field plus 3 years of relevant experience, or equal combination of education and experience.
- Experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC equipment.
- Working knowledge of PLC (Allen Bradley) and robotic (Fanuc) systems.
- Experience with maintenance management systems.
- Effective multi-tasker in a high-volume machining area to direct and support maintenance specialists.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Management, Manufacturing, Production Operations Management, plus 5 years of a maintenance or service supervisory work experience.
- Deep understanding in TPM and Lean/6S practices.
- Familiarity with maintenance KPI’s such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Mean Time Between Failures, and Mean Time to Repair.
