About the role
The Senior Maintenance Supervisor / Planner is responsible for both the direct supervision of maintenance technicians and electricians across all shifts and the end-to-end planning and scheduling of all maintenance activities within the 845 Slurry production area.
Responsibilities
- Directly supervise maintenance technicians and electricians across all shifts; ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained to effectively support operations at all times.
- Hire, onboard, and train new maintenance technicians; manage payroll, punch times, and time-off requests to ensure compliance with department attendance policies.
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to the maintenance team; drive cascading goal setting, performance feedback, and individual development planning.
- Serve as backup to the Maintenance Manager during PTO, assuming responsibility for broader maintenance operations and team leadership.
- Develop and publish a rolling weekly and monthly maintenance schedule encompassing all preventive maintenance (PM), corrective work orders, and project-related activities—balancing production needs with maintenance resource availability.
- Manage the work order backlog: review, prioritize, and assign work orders; monitor aging; ensure work is completed within target timeframes and escalate overdue items as needed.
- Cook up parts kitting and pre-staging—confirm all materials, tools, and documentation are ready before scheduled maintenance windows to maximize technician wrench time.
- Cook down downtime windows with production, operations, and quality teams to align planned maintenance activities with production schedules and minimize impact to output.
- Utilize SAP-PM, Parsable, and Reliance ETQ to create, modify, implement, and oversee the preventive maintenance structure and programs for all production equipment.
- Own the site's maintenance performance results as measured by KPIs including PM completion rate, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), spare parts inventory levels, and budget control.
- Purchase parts and services using Ariba; manage relationships with external contractors and service providers, ensuring compliance with contractor safety requirements and company policies.
- Drive maintenance-level continuous improvement projects focused on safety, 5S, ergonomics, sustainability, and process efficiency.
- Adhere to and enforce all Entegris and site EH&S guidelines, policies, procedures, and permitting requirements; champion the safety culture within the maintenance team.
- Maintain strong housekeeping standards, a safe and orderly work environment, and compliance with ISO and quality standards across all maintenance activities.
- Support or lead EHS teams and safety improvement initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is required. Bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical, electrical, or a related engineering field is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the chemical or specialty materials industry.
- Strong proficiency in maintenance management systems, specifically SAP-PM and Ariba; experience with Reliance ETQ is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in maintenance planning and scheduling, including work order management, job plan development, and backlog management.
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; familiarity with maintenance KPI reporting and data-driven decision-making.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team across multiple shifts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make timely, data-driven decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams including operations, quality, safety, and engineering.
- Flexible and adaptable to variable schedule changes; ability to respond to off-shift operational needs as required.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations in a manufacturing context required.
- Six Sigma experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs; ability to work in a chemical manufacturing environment.

Pay
$91,000 - $114,000 per year range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role.
Schedule
Operates within a state-of-the-art facility that runs three shifts, five days a week.
